A first-grade teacher was having a difficult time connecting her student's tablets to the wireless network. My supervisor and I worked on her tablets after school hours from 2:30 to 4:00. At first, I was having a hard time connecting the students to the WiFi, but I learned that since the tablets were distributed to students from last year and I had to remove that student and add another student unto the tablet to connect the student to their tablet for the year. At first, it was very frustrating, but once I understood what I was doing, it became straightforward.

On Wednesday, August 15, 2016, at 3:00 pm at MLK Elementary school in the Media Center. I decided to ask our media specialist at my job would she be my supervisor for practicum. She agreed! Yes! Off to a great start. She asked me questions about why I was choosing to go into Technology. I explain to her how much I love technology, integrating technology with my students and helping my colleagues figure out technology questions. She discussed with me her process of becoming a Medial Specialist and how she did the dual enrollment at VSU. She convinced me on adding the Media Specialist to my certificate. That is something I will be thinking about. We had a great conversation, and I am very excited about this journey and having Mary Conger as my supervisor. Our conversation end at 3:45 pm. |
