FRIT 7233: Online Digital Citizenship Video
Reflection:
I created this digital citizenship video in FRIT 7233. This video was designed for my students about internet safety. I used Powtoon to create this assignment. This was my first time using Powtoon, and I had pros and cons using this tool to create my video. The disadvantages to Powtoon is that being that it is a free website, not all tools are available unless you pay for membership. Some creative ideas I had with my Powtoon I wasn't able to do because of having to pay for that part of the program such as; audio voice over. The pros of using Powtoon is that navigation was straightforward. Video backgrounds are already created. The teacher just has to add information into Powtoon. Creating this video allowed me to use my creativity with technology and learn how to use new and different tools to create this video. For this assignment, Element 4.2 safe, healthy, legal and ethical use is demonstrated in this video. This artifact demonstrates the importance of Internet Safety.

FRIT 7330- Digital Citizenship Curation
Reflection:
In FRIT 7330, I created a digital citizenship curation. All resources for this curation are appropriate for Kindergarten students. The five things I focused on were communication, law, security, etiquette, right and responsibilities. For each section, there are resources and activities for students. For the assignment, Element 4.3 diversity, cultural understanding, and global awareness are being demonstrated. The artifacts illustrate the use of digital tools and resources. The artifacts included in the assignment enhances students understanding of digital citizenship. This assignment also includes Element 4.1. This assignment gives students an opportunity to access and use best practice in achieving appropriate digital citizenship.

FRIT 7739- Collaborative Unit on Digital Citizenship
Reflection:
I worked in collaboration with a Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Rhonda Sisroe, at Martin Luther King Elementary School. This is the majority of the Kindergarten students first time ever operating a tablet freely. The purpose of my lesson was to prepare the students about Internet Safety, what they can and can not do on the tablets. For my lesson, I used Livebinder as the original platform for the students to operate. Livebinder was the most accessible platform for Kindergarten students to use without having to navigate into different web pages. The students participating in watching safety videos from YouTube, age-appropriate activities and quizzes. Also at the beginning of the lesson, the students took a survey about the internet. Overall, this assignment was okay. I did have a hard time figuring out what platform would be appropriate for Kindergarten students. At one point I even tried using Weebly to set up my lesson, but I figured that would be too complicated. Assessment results turned out very well. 20 out 21 students passed the assessment with an 80% or higher. The data analysis shows that the videos and activities were very effective for students and they understood the importance of not sharing information on the Internet. The co-teacher and I felt that the students met the goals of understanding the importance of Internet safety. The students and I also had rich conversations on what are good websites for them to visit. Overall using Livebinder was a great option because the students were able to navigate easily and complete assessment without any problems. The only major problem I experienced was my survey. My survey monkey would not all the students to take survey on the same tablets. Due to the time restraint I had for the class, I just asked the students verbally by giving thumbs up or thumbs down.
For this assignment Element 4.1 and 4.2 are demonstrated. This assignment gives students tips to be aware of when accessing the computer. It also gives them rules, regulations and appropriate behavior on the Internet. Students are also provided suggestions on how to handle situations when something arises from the Internet.
